It is a classic: a bit dressier than plain sisal, and it is long-lasting and flexible, it is able to function in any home, and almost any area. Pueblo Sisal has a relaxed look of a natural fiber rug but you can mix Pueblo sisal with more formal elements such as silk, great art, and more traditional pieces.

What’s the difference between sisal & Pueblo sisal, other than pattern? Although plainer, l’ve always read seagrass was a better choice because it doesn’t stain.??? Please advise. . . Thank you
There are many styles of sisal, some plain and some with patterns. Seagrass usually only has a few different patterns.
You can see some various sisal patterns on the Fibreworks site: https://fibreworks.com/fiber/classic-sisal/
They have a pattern that is similar to Pueblo which is by Prestige Mills http://www.prestigemills.com.
Sisal is known to take a stain or a watermark after it is cleaned. Patterned sisals hide these stains better than a plain ribbed sisal. One of the tricks that my customers over the years have done to eliminate a watermarked stain, it to spray water all over the sisal to make the entire rug a watermark. You can’t do that to often though. I have one customer that we hand painted a sisal rug 35 years ago. She steams cleans her rug every year. It still looks like new. Most will tell you not to steam clean sisal.
In my home we have Seagrass rugs everywhere and we do steam clean them. You can spot clean stains, then steam clean. We have a home Rug Doctor that we love, as we have 3 doggies.
Seagrass does clean up better than sisal and is generally less expensive. You can see some of the Seagrass patterns here: https://fibreworks.com/fiber/seagrass/
We can have up to 3 free samples sent at n/c. If you have any other questions or want pricing, please email sandy@rugratsva.com
